## ARIGEN INPUT FILES: ARRANGEMENT RECORD

An ARIGEN arrangement record contains two lines, the first of which consists of the keyword
*ARRANGEMENT

In the second line the type of arrangement must be specified. At present the following arrangements are available:

• PERIODIC: A periodic arrangement of inhomogeneities is generated in which the box boundaries intersect the inhomogeneities at any position allowed by the minimum distances specified; such arrangements require the use of periodicity boundary conditions.
• CCPERIODIC: A periodic arrangement of inhomogeneities is generated in which the box boundaries intersect the inhomogeneities only through their centers; such arrangements allow using symmetry or periodicity boundary conditions.
• HARDBOX: A non-periodic arrangement of inhomogeneities is generated such that no inhomogeneity penetrates the box; in addition, minimum distances are enforced.
• WINDOW: A non-periodic window arrangement of inhomogeneities is generated such that inhomogeneity penetrating the box are cut off; in addition, minimum distances are enforced. Window arrangements are available in 2D only.
• EPERIODIC, arrasp: An elliptic, periodic arrangement of inhomogeneities is generated in which the box boundaries intersect the inhomogeneities at any position allowed by the minimum distances specified; such arrangements require the use of periodicity boundary conditions.
The aspect ratio of the "safety ellipses" is provided by arrasp; if this is greater than unity, the major axes of the ellipses correspond to the y-axis, otherwise to the x-axis.
The EPERIODIC option is in test, only RSI is available for generation.
If no arrangement record is given, ARIGEN will produce a periodic arrangement of inhomogeneities.
